it's arrived!
Well it’s finally here, the new website is up and running. And we start thinking about the new start of the year, having a fresh start to things too, I guess that’s what this can be for the circuit youth, a fresh start in which we can start again and hopefully by this time next year be ready to start something even greater, the next year has so much going on in it with new groups, development of the band and events like going to alton towers and of course YFriday coming to Chesterfield there is so much we can do if we want, and with God’s help this fresh start will be something that will allow new ideas and you as the youth to develop a new understanding of what church means to you individually, we’re also looking for young people to take on roles for the website and for youth services, all in all this should be an amazing year and I hope you enjoy it
Oh one more thing, do have a look round the whole of the website, there’s a lot of effort going into this, once you’ve done that (and do it every week as new stuff will be going up all the time!) why not head over to www.bigideafun.com where you’ll find all sorts of crazy games to play from the people who brought kids veggie tales

Injustice
I hope tonights evening has been as useful to you as it was for me, it was great to hear about the Rightousness of God, but one of the things that really stuck out tonight was the words of the Tim Hughes' song ("God of Justice") we sang after Gordon's talk, it really fit well with what Gordon had been talking about, and got me thinking, we've been talking about social action within our weekly activities, and praying about it, but we haven't made much effort to involve ourselves, we have the chance to make a difference. As people who have commited themselves to God, and accepted Christ our only responsibility is to love God, but with that responsibility comes a willingness and a hunger to follow God's way of love and grace,of Justice and Righteousness, rather than simply allowing the actions of an unjust world to continue! so why not take a few minutes to think about how you as part of the world church can make a difference and help put an end to injustice, share your ideas in prayer and within your discipleship groups and see what might happen! |

1 Month to go!
We've got 1 month to go until Chesterfield will hopefully be jumping to the sound of God being given glory, I'm amazed that since September God has blessed us so much, and The Elctric Church is going from strength to strength, Pentecost was amazing, the last weeks inspiring, and I hope that as we get to this critical event hearts, minds and lives continue to be shaped and changed by God.
however always being in the hot seat is draining, and next week I'm off on holiday! but the point to that is this, God is our strength and our energy, we are but jars of clay (2 Corinthians 4), as we continue on this road, we've got to be willing to let God help us in His strength rather than our own, so if you guys could be praying for me over the next few weeks, and for yourselves, remember we'll be having a TEC night this sunday, and praying for you guys to keep being feed, and keep allowing God to do great things in you and chesterfield! |
